Sajid Javid has been chosen to fight Bromsgrove for the Conservatives at the forthcoming general election. He beat Charles Barwell in the fifth round of voting, winning by a large majority.
Julie and Sajid spoke immediately after his selection and she sent her congratulations to him and Laura and wished him every success in retaining the seat.
Julie said, "Sajid has the opportunity to win a wonderful seat and Bromsgrove has the opportunity to elect someone who will make an excellent MP."
Julie signed a Book of Commitment in the House of Commons to honour those who perished in the Holocaust.
January 27th marks the 65th anniversary of the liberation of the Nazi concentration and extermination camp, Auschwitz-Birkenau.
Julie paid tribute to those remarkable individuals who survived the appalling events of the Holocaust and have since dedicated their lives to educating younger generations about the dangers of allowing persecution and intolerance to take hold in society.
Julie said, “Holocaust Survivors are extraordinary people. We have a duty to them to pass on the lessons of the Holocaust to future generations.”

Happy New Year
A very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to everyone in Bromsgrove.
I want to take this opportunity to confirm to you, my constituents, that I will not be representing you all after the next General Election.
I am sad to be leaving but this is entirely my decision.
I would like to wish my association the very best of luck as they find my successor in the new year.

On a per child basis our county suffers from some of the lowest funding in the educational system. The F40 organisation is a joint campaign by the poorest funded educational authorities in England to rectify this appalling situation.
Devon County Council has launched a petition on everyone's behalf on the Number 10 Downing Street website ...

This petition has now reached a size that will require a formal response from the Prime Minister. This is great, but we'd like to see more people showing their support by adding their name.
We all want to see an end to the unfair post-code funding lottery that affects the education of so many children and young people in our area, so please consider doing all you can to support and promote the petition.
